Peter Brum Bacchus Wine World Amherst Tonawanda NY
Peter Brum Bacchus

This wine was named after Bacchus; the Greek god of barley & wine. This is a great blend of Müller-Thurgau, Riesling and Sylvaner, similar to a slightly sweet style Riesling. This wine features hints of light fruit like peach and pear, and refreshing minerality. With a wonderful finish on the tongue, your tastebuds will thank you!

Snowden The Ranch Wine World North Tonawanda Amherst NY

Snowden 2009 “The Ranch”

Brand:      Snowden

Region:    Napa Valley, Cali. (1,600 cases produced)

  •  75.5% Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 19.1% Merlot
  • 03.8% Cabernet Franc
  • 01.6% Petit Verdot

In 1962 Snowden Vineyards expanded and Cabernet Sauvignon clippings, from what is now known as the Stags Leap District, were planted.  When Wayne Snowden died his sons took over the vineyard and replanted everything with Cabernet Sauvignon and until 1993 they sold all of their grapes to Stag's Leap Wine Cellars.  That year they produced Snowden’s first vintage.  To this day they still sell grapes to Silver Oak Wine Cellars, Frank Family Vineyard, Viader, and David Ramey.  All of Snowden grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously sorted.  They use native yeast when fermented and go through a native malolactic fermentation in barrel (French oak).  They age around 18 months and are bottled with no filtration.  On the eye a deep and murky purple; looks as if it’s inky.  "The Ranch" lifts your nose with nuances of black liquorish, dark fruits, sawdust and subtle menthol.  The floral notes give it a viscosity as if it seems to be chewy.  On the palate notes of tobacco soaked in plums and cassis coated with nutmeg and subtle pepper notes that rested in a fresh cigar box. Medium-bodied, smooth, with a floral chew. Anticipated Maturity:  2012 - 2019

Seven Deadly Zins Zinfandel Wine World Amherst North Tonawanda NY

7 Deadly Zins Zinfandel

7 Deadly Zins is a knock-out bargain. A blend of seven old vine Zins from seven of Lodi's best growers. This hugely popular wine spends 12 months in both French and American oak. it is loaded with berry fruit, pepper, spice, and earthy characteristics. This rich, full-bodied, opulent, luscious Zinfandel can be drunk now and over the next several years.
Notes of sweet plums and pepper dominate the nose, while flavors of blueberry, raspberry, cinnamon, and black pepper pack the palate from start to finish. The silky-smooth tannins hold the wine together and deliver a soft, fruit driven experience.

Scinniri Rosso Sicilia Wine World Amherst Tonawanda NY

Scinniri IGT Sicily 2010

Scinniri is a fine example of the emerging wine industry in Sicily. Scinniri 2010 is light red in color with aromas of dark berry, spice and a hint of anise. On the palate Scinniri is medium-bodied with good acidity, a touch of minerality and cedar. Scinniri will age well for the next 5-6 years.

La Crema Sonoma Pinot Noir Wine World Amherst Tonawanda NY

La Crema Sonoma County Pinot Noir

My pick for November is La Crema Pinot Noir. This deliciously creamy wine has flavors of ripe cherry & spice with a touch of dark chocolate. A rich, juicy mid-palate feel & vivid acidity lead to plush tannins on the lengthy finish.

 Pacific Rim Sweet Riesling

This Washington state Riesling is made from ripe grapes late in the season. This wine has aromas of juicy pear and tropical fruit that jump out of the glass at you! Bright citrus and floral flavors mix with peach and just enough sweetness to make a smooth Riesling. Try this with spicy food like tacos!
